Which size should I choose?

Go by weight: S fits kittens and small cats around 2-4 lb, M fits most adult cats around 5-14 lb. If your cat is close to 5 lb, choose M.

My cat hates hats. Will this work?

Some cats never warm up to hats. Try a few seconds at a time with treats, keep the ties loose, and stop if your cat shakes its head or paws at it. A collar may suit a hat-shy cat better.

Can my cat wear it unsupervised?

No. It is a costume piece. Take it off after the photos and before your cat sleeps, plays alone or goes outside.
