Check toys regularly and throw away any that are torn or have loose parts. Silvervine twigs can splinter with heavy chewing: throw the toy away as soon as the stick cracks.

Can my cat chew the silvervine twig?

Many cats lick and chew silvervine, but the twig can splinter with heavy chewing. Play while you watch, put the toys away afterwards, and throw a toy out once its stick cracks.

What if my cat ignores catnip?

Some cats ignore catnip but respond to silvervine, which is why each toy has both. If your cat isn't interested yet, put the toy away for a few days and try again.

Is it only for Halloween?
