Ingredients & safety
PP plastic handle with a row of curved stainless-steel blades. The blades are sharpened to cut hair: work slowly in small sections, hold the skin flat, keep the head flat and never pull or press into the skin. Stop if your cat struggles or flinches, and for large or tight mats see a groomer. Dry the blades after washing to avoid rust. Keep away from children and store out of pets' reach.
What's in the box

Work through thick, tangled undercoat

Thick undercoat knots up fast, especially on fluffy cats and seniors who can't reach their backs anymore. Curved steel blades cut into small tangles and pull out loose fur, one short stroke at a time.
LitterBond Dematting Comb - 5 reasons to love it
Curved steel blade row
A dense row of curved stainless-steel blades with hooked tips catches knots and cuts into them as you stroke with the growth.
Long angled handle
The handle bends at the neck, keeping your hand clear of the coat and giving you leverage.
Thins dense undercoat
Each pass pulls loose, fluffy undercoat out of a thick coat, leaving it less bulky.
Fully washable tool
The light PP handle and the steel blades can both be washed, so trapped hair rinses away.

Dematting in 3 Steps

Short, flat strokes
Keep the blade head flat and draw it in short, slow strokes with the hair growth, starting at the outer edge of the tangle.
Comb it smooth
Smooth the area with a regular comb, then wash the tool and dry the blades.

Questions cat parents ask

Don't see yours? Send it to us through the contact page.

Will it get through large mats?
It is made for small tangles and dense undercoat. Large or tight mats close to the skin are a job for a groomer.
Can it hurt my cat?
The blades are sharp and made to cut hair, so go slowly, keep the head flat and never tug. Stop if your cat flinches.
Which comb comes in the bundle?
The bundle adds one wooden-handle comb with stainless-steel pins for smoothing the coat afterward. The pin style is not selectable.
How do I clean it?
Pull the hair off the blades, wash the whole tool, then dry the blades thoroughly.
